Cameraperson (2016) 99%

Documentary cinematographer Kirsten Johnson stitched together scenes and images from her 25-year career to create this personal portrait of her life and her profession. One of Criterion’s rare contemporary releases, it comes with a look at editing the film, a roundtable conversation featuring Johnson, excerpts from film festival talks, and more.

This dramedy follows a novitiate nun as she returns home to see her war veteran brother. Special features include deleted scenes, a stitched-together reel of all the VHS home movies in the film, excerpts from director Zach Clark’s first film, and more.

Ewan McGregor makes his directorial debut with this adaptation of the Philip Roth novel of the same name about man whose seemingly perfect life is thrown into disarray when his daughter becomes a political revolutionary during the Vietnam War.
