Utah Storm believes in teaching and fostering a love and respect for The Beautiful Game. We strive to create healthy, challenging, and properly coached learning environments to develop hard working, technically sound, and tactically savvy player.
All of our coaches are volunteers and we are very fortunate to have these dedicated men and women. To help them be successful, the HC Storm Soccer Club provides our coaches with all the equipment and training necessary to run a winning team. One of the most important things we provide is access to the US Soccer Federation (USSF) coaching courses. This coaching education program provides all coaches from the beginner to the most advanced with up-to-date theoretical and practical knowledge.
The HC Storm coaching experience begins with club coaching clinics. We hold regular clinics throughout the year covering various training and development topics. We also help our coaches develop a training plan based on their team’s age and abilities.
Within the first year of coaching every coach within the Utah Youth Soccer Association is required to complete the 18-hour USSF “E” License course. This course covers elementary principles of coaching and prepares interested coaches for the 36-hour “D” License course. In order to lead a team competing at the State Level, a coach is required to complete both the “E” and the “D” License courses. The HC Storm Soccer Club pays for our coaches to attend and complete these certifications.
We firmly believe that the development of our coaches is essential to the growth and development of our program and we are as committed to that development as we are to the development of our players.
